Over 30 million Americans each year "play" fantasy sports.  However, the federal and state regulations that underlie fantasy sports activities are neither well developed nor well understood. This seminar will address the current regulatory issues that affect the fantasy sports industry. The seminar will cover the following subject areas: gambling law; sweepstakes law; league constitutions as binding contracts; fantasy insurance; fantasy sports dispute resolution (including SportsJudge.com); the potential need to regulate fantasy sports advice; intellectual property rights; players' right to publicity; first amendment concerns; fantasy sports trade associations; and industry-wide business ethics.
